Rachel is a member of the firm's public contract and construction group. Her previous legal experience includes taking depositions of homeowner plaintiffs and preparing coverage opinions, as well as handling acceptance, reservation of rights, declination and investigatory correspondence. Rachel interned at the Office of the City Attorney in San Francisco where she gained experience with real estate, CEQA and municipal bond finance issues. She has also interned with the City of Berkeley in planning where she assessed the condition of housing on the south side of the university campus. Rachel has six years of experience with directing projects through the city building permitting process, as well as corresponding with designers, homeowners and subcontractors. She was also the Education and Outreach Coordinator for A Safe Place in Oakland.Rachel received her J.D. at the University of California, Davis School of Law in 2003. Active in various organizations, she was a board member of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and a member of La Raza Law Students Association. She received her B.A. in Political Science with a minor in City and Regional Planning from the University of California at Berkeley in 1997. Rachel is admitted to practice in both California and Colorado. |
