As Microsoft Corp.�s corporate vice president for Microsoft� Office Live, Rajesh Jha is responsible for overseeing the worldwide marketing and development of these easy-to-use and affordable Web-based services for small businesses and information workers. Jha stepped up to the challenge of creating the Office Live business in late 2004. He was able to quickly build his team and release a well-targeted Microsoft offering to the small-business market.
He led his team to a successful beta launch in February 2006 and is now focused on launching Office Live offerings in late 2006 in France, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States. Jha�s dedication to innovation and his customer-centric philosophy have already earned Microsoft great results. Starting with a team of one in January 2005, Jha has expanded the base of Office Live to more than 125,000 customers since the launch of the Office Live beta.
Jha has a 16-year track record of positive contribution to Microsoft. Joining the company right out of university, he began his career as a software design engineer, developing five product releases with the Microsoft Works team. He moved on to create multimedia technologies in the Consumer Division, and as a director of development worked for several years developing Internet technologies. Continuing his path of success in the company, Jha then became the general manager of Microsoft Office InfoPath� and oversaw the launch of InfoPath 2003, as well as the planning for and early execution of Office InfoPath 2007 and form technologies in the 2007 Microsoft Office system.
Jha holds a master�s degree in computer science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a bachelor�s degree in computer science from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (Chennai). |
