Rajiv is presently the Vice President of Engineering at Peribit Technologies, a leading provider of WAN application performance products. Peribit is bridging the gap between molecular biology and data networking by leveraging the computational techniques used to examine DNA sequences and adapting them to discover repeated patterns in network traffic by developing the Molecular Sequence Reduction (MSR) technology which identifies and eliminates data flow and pattern similarities over Wide Area Networks (WANs). Prior to Peribit, Rajiv founded VitalSigns Software (acquired by INS / Lucent) where he assembled and led the engineering team that pioneered end-user performance management and network performance products. Prior to the founding of VitalSigns, Rajiv served as Vice President of Engineering at Bay Networks. Prior to Bay Networks and SynOptics, he held various technical and engineering management positions in networking groups at Sequent Computers, Hewlett Packard Co. and Tektronix Inc. Rajiv completed his MS in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his B. Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. |
