Ralph Currey was born in Charleston, West Virginia in 1954. He received a B.A. from Yale College in 1976 and a J.D. from Columbia Law School in 1981. After a one-year clerkship with the Hon. Frank A. Kaufman of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, he joined Cravath in 1982, leaving in 1988 to become a member of a small New York City firm and returning to Cravath in 1993. He was elected a Senior Attorney in 1997. Since rejoining the Firm, Ralph has concentrated primarily on asset-backed securities, private equity funds and investments, securities offerings and acquisitions.
