Pro Career:
Originally drafted by the N.Y. Giants in the fifth round (140th overall) of the 2000 NFL Draft, Brown played his first four seasons in New York before signing with Washington as a free agent on 3/22/04. Was waived by Washington on 8/31/04 and signed by Minnesota as a free agent on 9/14/04. Signed by Cleveland as a free agent on 8/6/06, appearing in all 16 games with four starts for the Browns. Signed by the Cardinals on 4/13/07.
2006: Totaled 37 tackles and finished tied for third on the Browns with nine passes defensed made his Cleveland debut vs. NO (9/10), playing corner in the nickel defensive package collecting two tackles and one pass defensed was the nickel corner collecting two tackles and two passes defensed @ Oak (10/1); replaced CB Leigh Bodden (ankle) in the second half and was part of a defensive effort that limited the Raiders to 240 net yards of offense, including only 46 net yards passing started for CB Daven Holly (illness) and added four tackles @ SD (11/5) received the start for the injured Bodden (ankle) and matched a career-high with eight tackles and one pass defensed vs. TB (12/24).
2005: In his second season with Minnesota appeared in all 16 games and finished with 27 tackles, nine passes defensed and ranked third on the team with 18 special teams tackles tied for team lead with three special teams stops vs. NO (9/25) and also added three tackles and one pass defensed had two tackles, two passes defensed and two special teams tackles vs. Det (11/6) totaled three tackles, two passes defensed and two special teams tackles vs. StL (12/11) recorded a career-high four special teams tackles vs. Chi (1/1).
2004: Signed with Washington as a free agent on 3/22 and was waived by the Redskins at the end of training camp signed by the Vikings on 9/14 recorded two special teams tackles in his Vikings debut on Monday Night Football @ Phi (9/20) recorded three tackles and two QB pressures @ NO (10/17) inactive for the final four regular season games with an eye injury played in dime packages in the NFC Wild Card Game @ GB (1/9) and collected his first career playoff interception saw time as the nickel back in the NFC Divisional Playoff Game @ Phi (1/16).
2003: Played in 11 games for the Giants with seven starts and finished with 41 tackles, one sack and two interceptions notched eight tackles and one pass defensed in season opener vs. StL (9/8) intercepted a Quincy Carter pass @ Dal (9/15) and returned it 29 yards for a TD while also adding four tackles registered his first career sack vs. Was (9/21), throwing Patrick Ramsey for a seven-yard loss collected eight tackles @ NYJ (11/2) and also intercepted a Chad Pennington pass vs. Was (12/7), finished with five tackles after missing three games due to a shoulder injury started the following week @ NO (12/14) but left the game with a shoulder injury and was placed on injured reserve.
2002: In his third year with the Giants played in all 16 regular season games for the first time in his career, including two starts made his first career start @ StL (9/15) started at left corner @ Was (12/8) and recorded his first career interception off a Danny Wuerffel pass, returning it 19 yards.
2001: Played in eight games for the Giants and finished the year with two tackles as a reserve defensive back also added five special teams tackles.
2000: In his rookie season, played in two games on special teams with the Giants made his NFL debut at Phi (9/10) played @ Chi (9/17) but left the game due to a kidney laceration and was placed on injured reserve.
College:
Started 51 straight games for Nebraska and finished his career with 143 tackles, 88 solo and finished third on the Cornhuskers� career interception list with 11 interceptions and first with 253 interception return yards set a school record with 50 passes defensed and was a consensus All-American first-team choice in 1999 semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award, given to the top defensive back in college football all-Big 12 Conference first-team honorees in 1997, 1998 and 1999 named All-American third-team pick by the Associated Press and Football News in 1998 member of the Big 12 Commissioner�s Academic Honor Roll in 1997.
