Ralph is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training covering a wide range of topics related to accounting, auditing, and financial reporting. Ralph has over thirty years of experience in the accounting profession with firms that include Arthur Andersen & Co., American Express, and, most recently, as a Partner in the National Office of Audit and Accounting of McGladrey & Pullen, LLP. Ralph has served in a variety of capacities including auditor for numerous businesses, director of quality control for one of the 50 largest firms in the U.S. and national director of technical training. Ralph holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with honors from the Walter E. Heller College of Business Administration of Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois where he was elected to membership in Beta Gamma Sigma. Ralph also served as an adjunct lecturer in graduate level accounting and finance at Northwestern University. Ralph is a licensed CPA in Illinois and a member of the AICPA, Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS), the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and an Associate Member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). He has co-authored several technical reference works including GAAP Interpretation and Application (John Wiley & Sons, 2001 - Current Edition). Ralph and his wife are the parents of two boys and reside in Glenview, Illinois. Ralph enjoys singing in choir, losing at chess to one son, and losing at basketball to both sons. |
