Ram Gupta joined SourceForge's board in February 2002. Cast Iron Systems, a vendor of application integration appliances, announced in January 2006 the appointment of Ram Gupta as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Gupta has 20 years of technology and operational expertise at fast paced global technology companies, including PeopleSoft, WebMD, Silicon Graphics, IBM and Tata Consultancy Services. As executive vice president of products and technology at PeopleSoft from August 2000 through October 2004, Gupta was responsible for PeopleSoft's new generation of Internet applications and the company's technology infrastructure.
Prior to joining PeopleSoft in 2000, Gupta was senior vice president and general manager for Healtheon|WebMD Corp., an Internet healthcare company. Before that, Gupta served as director of the multimedia networking group at Silicon Graphics; managed operating systems development at IBM; and managed networking products development at Ungermann Bass and at Philips in Europe. |
