Rami Kalish has a wealth of experience in venture investing and international management in the high-tech industry. He has been active in the venture capital arena since 1993, when he founded Polaris, and has served as the firm's Managing General Partner since that time. From the very beginning, Rami Kalish was committed to a broader vision of value-added investing that offers entrepreneurs a close working relationship with experienced business professionals who can ensure long-term success for the company and its investors. Under his guidance, Pitango Venture Capital has become a leader in the Israeli venture capital arena - joining forces with other leading VC principals, and creating an exceptionally well-rounded support and service organization. Rami has also been a driving force in establishing alliances with VC firms around the world and positioning Pitango Venture Capital as a global player in the global marketplace. Prior to entering the venture capital arena, Rami garnered rich managerial experience at high technology firms in the US, Europe and Israel. He previously held sales and marketing positions at IBM and executive management roles at Orbot (now Orbotech). Rami holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Information Science from the Technion Institute of Technology in Israel. He is also a board member of the Israel Venture Association. |
