Dr. Ran Kivetz is a Professor of Business at Columbia University and is a Faculty Fellow of the Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy. He is a leading expert in the areas of behavioral economics, decision-making, incentive systems, and the marketing of innovations. Prior to receiving his Ph.D. from Stanford University, Dr. Kivetz helped found a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software company. Dr. Kivetz's research has produced major counterintuitive discoveries regarding human motivation and choice. His award-winning research has been published in the leading scientific journals and is highly cited by peers and journalists (including a recent citation in the New York Times for best ideas in 2006). Dr. Kivetz is an editorial board member and reviewer for the leading decision-making and management science journals.
