Randall A. Lipps founded Omnicell in September 1992 and serves as the company's chairman, president and chief executive officer. From the company's founding until October 2002, Mr. Lipps was chairman of the board of directors. He assumed the additional role of president and chief executive officer in October 2002 and has provided the leadership for Omnicell's business expansion. Since taking on the day-to-day operations of the company, Mr. Lipps has brought in a well-known Silicon Valley management team and has focused the company on growth and technology leadership. During 2003, Omnicell was recognized as one of the top 150 Silicon Valley companies, as measured by market capitalization, by the San Jose Mercury News.
Prior to founding Omnicell, Mr. Lipps served as the senior vice president at ST Holdings, a travel and marketing company. Mr. Lipps received both a B.S. in economics and a B.B.A. from Southern Methodist University. |
