H. Randall Kinsling graduated from Cleveland High School in June of 1962 and later attended Cal State Northridge where he earned a BS in Business Administration (Finance) in June of 1967. He immediately went to work for the Aetna Insurance Company of Hartford, Connecticut, part of Cigna Insurance Group, where he worked from June 1967 until March 1971 as an underwriter for property casualty lines of business and then as an Underwriting Special Agent. In March of 1971, he left Aetna to work for INA Insurance Company until April 8, 1971 at which time he joined Tolman and Wiker Insurance. Since joining Tolman and Wiker Insurance, Mr. Kinsling became a partner in the firm in 1971, managing the marketing and placement of accounts for the firm, as well as acting as an insurance broker, dealing with all types of commercial and personal insurance. For the past ten years, Mr. Kinsling has acted as Executive Partner, overseeing and managing many of the business functions of the firm.
During his business career, Mr. Kinsling has been an active participant in various real estate partnerships connected with Tolman and Wiker Insurance, namely Tolman and Wiker Properties and TWD Properties.
In 1983, Mr. Kinsling and a group of local county business people organized First National Bank of Ventura, whose name was later changed to Bank of Ventura. Mr. Kinsling was one of the founding Directors of the bank and served on the Board continuously from the start of the enterprise until its sale in September of 2000. |
