Chief Technology Officer, Cayford directs the design and development and protection of the company's advanced technology solutions. A former principal programmer analyst for the Institute of Transportation Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, Cayford conducted and managed the research and development of a Vehicle Re-identification System which won the ITS America innovative research award in 2000, a Travel Information Probe System for traffic surveillance system, a traffic management system for small cities, and Netcell, a freeway simulation model. During his tenure with the Institute, Cayford served on the Executive Committee as an advisor on computer policy and on the use of computer technology. He holds BAs in Mathematics and in Linguistics from the University of California, Berkeley and a MS in Computer Science from San Francisco State University where his research focused on performance analysis of parallel processing and distributed computing systems. |
