Randall B. Jones rejoined SEI as Chief Technology Officer in 2007. He had previously worked with the founder of SEI in the 1990s as a principal consultant for SEI Information Technology, where he built and managed a group that eventually became part of Navteq. After leaving SEI, Mr. Jones helped establish two technology divisions for Aon Corporation of Chicago. These companies used advanced computer technologies to model and predict losses caused by natural disasters such as earthquakes, tornados, and hurricanes. He later started Strategis Technologies, LLC with offices in Illinois and India. The company held critical wireless interface technology that enabled automatic remote monitoring and control for critical systems. In 2003, he sold this company to Molex. Mr. Jones' career spans three decades in which he has served as apprentice engineer, inventor, key developer of automobile navigation systems, an entrepreneur, an executive for an insurance brokerage firm, systems analyst, systems designer, application developer, and as an advanced systems technology consultant. He played a key role in turning around troubled projects for companies including Aon, Motorola, Panasonic, GMC, Honda, Shell, Siemens, Nissan, Buick, Ford, Chevrolet, Toyota, OnStar, SAE, Fijitsu Ten, Rand McNally, Philips, Delphi, Mitsubishi, Yazaki, and Visteon. |
