Following 13 years of progressively senior positions at Tembec, Randy Fournier was appointed Senior Vice President Chemical Group in June 2007.
Mr. Fournier has successfully held a number of positions of increasing accountabilities across the Company having joined Tembec in 1994 as a Research Chemist with the Chemical Group followed by promotions to the Specialty Products Division (Forest Products Group) and later the Specialty Cellulose Division (Pulp Group). In 2000, Mr. Fournier was asked to undertake a 4 year offshore assignment as Vice President Caribbean Region under Corporate Development.
In March 2004, Mr. Fournier was appointed Vice President Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) Manufacturing for Temlam Inc. (TBC joint venture) with the operational accountability for the existing Ville-Marie facility and the $130M construction and start-up of the lowest cash cost LVL plant in North America (Amos, Quebec).
Born in North Bay, Ontario, 1970, Mr. Fournier graduated with a BSc. from the University of Ottawa where he also undertook graduate research and studies prior to joining Tembec and later obtaining an MBA from the University. |
