Randy Hutcherson is Vice President, Rotorcraft Programs for EADS North America. He is responsible for all helicopter-related marketing, market development, program capture and customer liaison for EADS-NA Defense. He leads all federal marketing and sales-related activities in the United States for EADS rotary-wing aircraft, and is the primary interface with U.S. regulatory agencies on helicopter issues.
Hutcherson is a highly qualified government affairs manager with extensive military rotary-wing piloting experience. Prior to joining EADS North America Defense, he was Director of Government Affairs for Textron, working in the company�s Washington, D.C. office.
As a former U.S. Marine Corps officer, Hutcherson has logged more than 5,000 flight hours in helicopters and supported the service's budgeting and acquisition process. From 1998 to 2002, he worked in the Office of Legislative Affairs, where he articulated and justified all Marine Corps program and budget requests for the four defense committees and the two intelligence committees of the U.S. Congress. He had a key role in the development, planning and implementation of the Commandant of the Marine Corps' legislative strategy, and worked with suppliers to maximize the defense industry's support of Marine Corps programs.
During his military career, Hutcherson held various Marine Corps squadron level and higher headquarters positions in operations, maintenance and logistics culminating with command of a Marine Corps Light Attack Helicopter Squadron. He also had assignments in Navy squadrons as an instructor and an operational test pilot, as well as an assignment to the Joint Staff.
Hutcherson is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering. He also has a Master of Science degree in Systems Management from Alabama's Troy State University, as well as a Master of Science degree in National Security Strategies from the National War College. |
