Since 1975 Randy has been actively involved in real estate, residential land development and home building in and around the Twin Cities metropolitan area. He, along with brother Gary, founded Laurent Builders, Inc., an award-winning home building company, of which Randy is the vice president. Through various corporate and partnership entities, Randy owns and manages numerous residential developments, a commercial office building, Stonebrooke and Waters Edge golf courses as well as other properties.
Randy has been instrumental in developing Laurent Builder's Inc. into the highly-regarded home building company that it is today. Laurent Builders, Inc. has won numerous awards for design, quality, and value including Reggie Awards, Trillium Awards, and Awards of Excellence from the Parade of Homes. Randy was recently awarded the annual "Accessible Hammer Award" for his accomplishments in constructing a very specialized home for a young man paralyzed in a hockey accident. Randy holds the State of Minnesota builders license and is also licensed by the State Pollution Control Agency to construct on-site sewage treatment systems and has served many years on city building-appeals boards. Randy has served his local Shakopee community as a past president of the chamber of commerce, past president of Shakopee Area Rotary Club and as a board member of the Shakopee Community Education Advisory Board. |
