Another Lions Gate veteran, Randy filled that company's role of Vice President, Acquisitions and Business Affairs from 1997 to 2001. In addition to his duties as in-house counsel and his responsibility to all business-related matters, Randy was responsible for many of Lions Gate's extremely successful acquisitions and project involvements that led to the substantial growth of the company's top and bottom lines. He was responsible for acquiring the rights to Mel Gibson's Million Dollar Hotel which was an extremely profitable success for Lions Gate's Sterling Home Entertainment.

Previously, he negotiated the acquisitions and handled all business issues related to the releases of Lions Gate's Oscar winner Gods and Monsters and Lions Gate's top grossing film, Dogma, among many others. Just prior to his departure from Lions Gate, Randy closed a deal to pre-buy all North American rights to Joe Carnahan's Narc, which was released by Paramount Pictures. A lawyer by profession, Randy was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1997 and trained at a renowned legal firm in Toronto. On the front-line of all of THINKFilm's acquisitions, Randy plays the dual role of film evaluator and business negotiator; he has been instrumental in the company's acquisition of the successful The Last Kiss and the Oscar-nominated Spellbound. In addition to his acquisitions responsibilities, Randy's mandate further encompasses all U.S. Television sales, as well as the management of all corporate and legal issues related to the company.
