Since May of 2005, Randy Myers has served as the Fitness Director for Sea Island Resorts. For 15 years, Myers has worked specifically with golf and the golf community as a highly respected expert on the benefits of overall fitness in relation to the golf game. He serves on the Titleist Performance Institute Board of Directors and as a professional advisor to Golf Digest and Golf For Women, sharing his knowledge with both professional and recreational golfers.
During the past two years, Myers has been instrumental in the planning and development of the new 65,000-square-foot Spa and Fitness Facility. Myers works with nationally recognized teaching professionals Todd Anderson, Morris Pickens and Mike Shannon instructing students of the highly acclaimed Sea Island Golf Improvement Schools.

Myers works with numerous top touring professionals, including Davis Love III, Lucas Glover, Jonathan Byrd and Charles Warren. Although he works closely with more than 100 PGA, LPGA and Senior PGA tour players, the majority of his experience is in training amateur golfers in the fundamentals of weight training flexibility, including work with many collegiate golf programs, including the University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, University of Kentucky, Wake Forest University, Vanderbilt University and Florida State University.
In May of 1992, Myers completed his Masters degree in Leisure Studies at Pennsylvania State University. His thesis topic, A strength training and flexibility program for recreational golfers, helped establish the standards for golf exercise and conditioning. Myers has created golf specific exercise programs for thousands of golfers and was named the first recipient of Golf�s Top Fitness Trainer by Golf Digest.
Myers formerly served as the Director of Fitness and Personal Training at PGA National Resort and Spa from 1992 through June 2005. Randy works as an educator for the PGA of America, has developed the Randy Myers Golf Stretching Pole and is a nationally recognized presenter at fitness and golf seminars. Myers and his wife, Pam, live on St. Simons Island with their three children, Madison, 10, Jacob, 7, and Colton, 5. |
