Ransom Parker has led investments in several RedShift portfolio companies. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Blue Ridge Networks, Converged Access, Novariant, Privaris and Telarix. Former portfolio companies include Cronos Integrated Microsystems (acquired by JDS Uniphase), Sandburst (acquired by Broadcom), MSI Software (acquired by AtStaff) and V3 Systems (acquired by Click Commerce).Before joining RedShift in 1998, Parker was president, chief operating officer and director of the AFFINITY Systems Division of The Compucare Company (acquired by Quadramed), a healthcare information systems software developer. Parker spearheaded AFFINITY's successful transition from an outsourcing and services business model to an enterprise class software product delivery and support model. He also worked to secure a $32 million private equity placement and two business acquisitions. Prior to The Compucare Company, Parker was the Mid-Atlantic regional operations manager for Shared Medical Systems Corporation (acquired by Siemens AG) and he held progressively more responsible executive management positions with Technicon Data Systems (acquired by Eclipsys).Parker received a B.S. in biological sciences from Fairleigh Dickinson University and an M.H.A. in healthcare administration from The George Washington University. |
