Raymond (Ray) Gogel is responsible for Xcel Energy's Customer and Enterprise Solutions group, which integrates all information technology, customer care, revenue cycle, human resources and Utility Innovations at Xcel Energy. The group's mission is to drive "business transformation that yields bottom line results" for the company.
Prior to the formation of Customer and Enterprise Solutions, Gogel was responsible for the Business Systems business unit, which managed portfolio performance for Information Technology and enterprise business processes.
Xcel Energy has been in the Top 10 of Information Week's Top 500 I/T organizations in the last two years. Business Systems has also garnered significant marketplace recognition for its unique forms of I/T governance and innovations, as seen in Xcel Energy's Program Management Office and Utility Innovations.
Prior to joining Xcel Energy, Gogel was vice president of client services for IBM Global Services and was the IBM executive in charge of Strategic Outsourcing for Xcel Energy.
Gogel also held leadership positions in IBM's Business Process Management (BPM) group and in the Utility and Energy Services division as strategist, business process architect and delivery executive. In addition, Gogel served in various positions at Public Service Electric & Gas Company of New Jersey.
He received both a doctorate and master's degree in philosophy from Drew University, in Madison, N.J., following studies abroad at Freiburg University in Germany. He is the author of Quest for Measure.
Dr. Gogel currently serves on the board of trustees for the Denver Chapter of Mile High United Way. |
