RAYMOND J. LEWIS was named Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of the Company in October 2002 and was promoted to Executive Vice President in January 2006. Previously, Mr. Lewis was managing director of business development for GE Capital Healthcare Financial Services, a division of General Electric Capital Corporation ("GECC"), which is a subsidiary of General Electric Corporation, where he led a team focused on mergers and portfolio acquisitions of healthcare assets. Prior to that, Mr. Lewis was Executive Vice President of healthcare finance for Heller Financial, Inc. (acquired by GECC in 2001), where he had primary responsibility for healthcare lending. Mr. Lewis is a past Chairman of the National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing & Care Industries (NIC) and currently is a member of its Board of Directors. He also formerly served on the board of directors of the Assisted Living Federation of America. Mr. Lewis is also on the Executive Board of the American Seniors Housing Association.
