Mr. Nelson was actively involved in the firm�s strategic direction and the operating results from its main practice areas, including Executive Search, Career Management, Outplacement, Strategy and Executive Coaching. Prior to joining Wilcox Miller & Nelson, he was director in the management consulting practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers (C&L) and active in management of large healthcare systems. Mr. Nelson was involved in management and management consulting for forty years. Most recently he headed mergers and acquisitions for Catholic Healthcare West, the largest non-profit hospital system in the West. During his management and consulting career he was at the forefront in developing strategies for growth and financial turnarounds for numerous organizations. He routinely worked with senior executives on developing strategies, networks and assessing new career opportunities, plus performance coaching for senior executives. He frequently lectured on strategy and health financing issues, facilitated strategy sessions, recruited senior level executives and assisted with their career planning. Mr. Nelson served as chair of Sacramento Metro Chamber, chair of SARTA, chair of RA Swanson Construction Company, chair of Mercy Foundation, chair of PCL, a publicly traded company and held a number of board appointments.
