Ray Sadowski, Avnet's chief financial officer since 1993, leads a global finance group responsible for more than 50 separate functions including financial operations, administrative services, business advisory services and corporate administration.
Mr. Sadowski has been instrumental in the acquisitions of more than 50 companies, all of which have contributed to Avnet's attaining a leadership role in the electronic components and computer products industries.
Additionally, he has made a significant impact on the company's success through the value-based management initiative he and Avnet CEO Roy Vallee introduced in 2001.
Mr. Sadowski joined Avnet in 1978 as a corporate accounting supervisor. He was promoted to accounting manager and assistant controller, then named controller in 1986 and vice president in 1987. He was named a senior vice president of Avnet, Inc. in 1992.
He graduated from Hunter College in New York with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting in 1976.
Mr. Sadowski's vision for Avnet is that the company continues to dominate the global distribution industry and reinforce its leadership position. |
