Rebecca Jarvis is a general assignment reporter, based at CNBC�s world headquarters. She can also be seen reporting live from the NASDAQ Market Site and the New York Mercantile Exchange.
To her reporting, Jarvis brings hands-on business experience in both investment banking and foreign currency trading. As an investment banker with Banc of America Securities, she analyzed and advised $6 billion in mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt transactions. Prior to that, she executed interest rate trades on Citigroup's foreign exchange desk in London.
Jarvis left financial services to pursue a career in journalism and has written for publications ranging from Crain�s Chicago Business to Business 2.0. She is currently a governor on the board of the Society of American Business Editors and Writers.
Jarvis graduated from the University of Chicago with a degree in Economics and Law, Letters & Society. A recipient of the University of Chicago Dean�s Grant, she also studied European banking and financial markets at the Universite Sciences Po and Dauphine Universite in Paris, France. |
