Mr. Hedgebeth joined Circuit City in 2005 as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary. As chief legal officer for Circuit City, he is responsible for managing all legal and corporate governance matters, including commercial law, litigation, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, employment and labor, real estate, compliance and ethics, and government relations. In addition, Mr. Hedgebeth serves as business continuity management officer for the Company. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Hedgebeth was vice president legal for The Home Depot, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia. At The Home Depot, he was responsible for providing legal support to the retail stores, distribution facilities, non-retail affiliates, call centers and various corporate departments including procurement, finance and treasury, construction, maintenance and energy management, store operations, merchandising and global supply chain. He also supported The Home Depot's international operations in Canada, Mexico and China. Mr. Hedgebeth began his legal career as a corporate and securities associate at King and Spalding, LLP and prior to law school held various finance and real estate positions at GE Capital Corporation. |
