Rena Juliar, Director of Product Development for Symphony Medical, Inc., has 20 years experience bringing new medical devices and technologies from the research phase into the commercial market. Prior to joining Symphony, Rena was Director of Manufacturing and Technology at IDM Pharma, a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of innovative oncology products that activate the immune system. These products include both classical pharmaceuticals and autologous cell therapies. During Rena's tenure, the company initiated United States clinical trials with autologous cell products prepared using proprietary manufacturing technology in the company's licensed facility. Previously, Rena was Director of Development for Nexell Therapeutics (formerly Baxter Immunotherapy) where she led medical device development for oncology products focused on transplant therapies. Before that, Rena developed various medical products in the cardiopulmonary arena for Medtronic and Baxter's Bentley division. Rena holds a degree in Bioengineering from the University of California at San Diego. |
