E.Renae Conley was named president and CEO of Entergy Louisiana in 2000. Entergy Louisiana, the largest electric utility company in the state, serves over 1 million customers and is comprised of Entergy Louisiana, LLC and Entergy Gulf States, Inc. Louisiana.
She is responsible for the companies� electric distribution systems, customer service, regulatory and governmental affairs, and economic development programs, as well as the companies� financial performance.
Conley joined Entergy Corporation in 1999 as vice president of investor relations, where she was responsible for linking the company�s strategic vision with the financial expectations of Wall Street.
Her professional career includes a long list of leadership roles in the electric utility industry. She served as president of Cincinnati Gas and Electric Company, a subsidiary of Cinergy Corp. and as president and CEO of Cadence, a joint venture of Cinergy, New Century Energies and Florida Progress. At Cinergy, she was also vice president of sales, and general manager of corporate communications and investor relations. Her wide background includes work in customer service, accounting, treasury and investor relations for PSI Energy. In 2004, she was recognized for the second consecutive year as a Key Woman in Energy in the Americas, a national honor bestowed on female executives for their contributions to the industry.
In the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Conley was tapped by Governor Kathleen Blanco for the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Disaster Recovery Foundation for the state.
A respected business leader and advocate for economic development, Conley serves on Lt. Governor Mitch Landrieu�s Cultural Economy Foundation Board. Through her work on the board of directors for the Council for a Better Louisiana, she promotes educational excellence initiatives that benefit Louisiana schoolchildren. She sits on the executive committee of the Baton Rouge Boy Scouts, the National Board for Inroads, and the Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana. She is also a member of Governor Blanco�s Advisory Commission for Coastal Restoration and Conservation. Additionally, she was elected to the Board of Directors of Choicepoint of Alpharetta, Georgia in 2006.
Conley has a bachelor�s of science degree in accounting and a master�s in business administration degree, both from Ball State University. |
