Dr. Belder joined Pharmacopeia in November of 2006, from Bristol-Myers Squibb where during his 19-year tenure he served as a therapeutic expert in the areas of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases and gained extensive global experience in leading clinical development programs by working with thought leaders in various clinical areas. His work included all phases of clinical development, as well as extensive interaction with the Food and Drug Administration, including leadership of the development and submission of regulatory dossiers for drugs to treat diabetes and hyperlipidemia. Dr. Belder received his Medical Degree from Erasmus University of Rotterdam in the Netherlands and served in the Royal Netherlands Army as a physician. |
