Rica Lopez de Alos is an Income Member in the Labor and Employment Law Practice Group. Before she became a lawyer, Ms. Lopez de Alos enjoyed a distinguished career as a journalist, specializing in medical research, culture and art.
Practice and Experience
Ms. Lopez de Alos' practice includes general labor and employment law litigation and consulting, concentrating her experience in both local and federal courts. She is also experienced in civil and commercial litigation and consulting.
Education
She obtained a Bachelor in Arts in Public Communication, magna cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico's School of Public Communication, and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, where she received the "All American Scholars" Award in 1993-1994 and was included in 1993-1994 "National Dean's List". She has attended various seminars on varied employee benefits topics.
Admissions
Ms. Lopez de Alos is admitted to practice before the courts of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
Memberships
She is a member of the Puerto Rico Bar Association, and its Special Committee for the Revision of the Puerto Rico Ethics Code, and the Federal Bar Association. She regularly lectures on local and federal rules of professional conduct, and other subjects related to professional ethics.
