Ricardo is an associate with the Litigation and Construction/Surety sections of Coats Rose. Before joining the firm, Ricardo worked with several architectural firms around Texas, where he focused on commercial, industrial, and higher education projects and successfully completed the Internship Development Program as monitored by the National Council of Architecture Registration Boards. While attending the University of Texas at El Paso�s College of Engineering, he was a member of the Honor�s Program and received the UT El Paso Presidential Excellence Award. Ricardo earned a Masters in Architecture Degree at Texas Tech University and participated in the Urban Design Study Abroad Program while attending McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. At St. Mary�s University School of Law, Ricardo received the Dean�s Leadership Award, Senator of the Year Award (2002), and was a member of the law fraternity of Phi Alpha Delta. Practice Emphasis Ricardo�s practice focuses on all aspects of Commercial and Residential Construction litigation. He also provides representation for Architects, Developers, Homeowners, Engineers, as well as General and Subcontractors. In addition to practicing law, Ricardo frequently conducts legal seminars for construction related associations including the American Institute of Architects, the Texas Society of Architects, the UT System Architects, Engineers and Facilities Division, the Construction Specifications Institute as well as numerous others at the local, state and national levels. |
