Rich has been with FlowCardia since its inception in April of 2002. He is responsible for Operations, Quality and OEM electronics. Rich has over 18 years experience in the medical device industry at firms ranging from small startup ventures to large, industry leading corporations. He began his career in medical devices at Advanced Cardiovascular Systems, a division of Guidant Corporation, where he served in various engineering and supervisory level positions from 1988 to 1995. From 1995 to 1997 he developed the quality system and served as the Quality Manager at KeraVision, a vision correction company. From 1997 to 2002 he held director level positions in Quality Control, Materials, Manufacturing and Operations at PercuSurge, which was acquired by Medtronic in 2001. In these capacities, Rich has been successful in effectively directing a wide range of activities required to bring device technologies to approval and subsequent market release. He holds a bachelor's degree from San Francisco State University and is certified as a Quality Engineer, Biomedical Auditor and RAC Regulatory Affairs Professional. |
