Together with a small group of fellow engineers, Richard Hood helped found Maxim in 1983. He is the last of the founders to be working fulltime for the Company. Mr. Hood brought Maxim ten years of technical and managerial experience in semiconductor test development and product testing. His first position at Maxim was as Director of Test Engineering, and he managed the definition and building of the Company's first test facilities. Over the years his responsibilities increased to include all Assembly, Test, and Shipping operations. In 1997 Mr. Hood was promoted to Vice President. In his current position as Vice President of the Company's end-of-line manufacturing operations, Mr. Hood has global responsibility for all product Assembly, Testing, and Shipping which includes Assembly Engineering, Product Engineering, Test Engineering, and all operations at several domestic and offshore factories. His facilities are responsible for performing 100% of the Company's end-of-line production volumes. Mr. Hood holds a BSEE degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. |
