Richard C. Olson is vice president and general manager of DuPont Titanium Technologies. Mr. Olson joined DuPont as a process engineer in 1978.
He has served in a broad range of business, marketing and manufacturing management assignments. Mr. Olson lived in Taipei, Taiwan, from 1996 to 1999, serving first as president, DuPont Taiwan, and subsequently as managing director, TiO2 Asia Pacific. From 1999 to early 2001, he served as director eVentures with responsibility to design, form and manage numerous equity investments in electronic commerce marketplaces for DuPont. In May 2001 he was named vice president of eBusiness. He was named vice president and general manager DuPont Surfaces in March 2003, responsible for the DuPont Corian� and Zodiaq� businesses. He was named to his present position in October 2005.
Mr. Olson was born and raised in Rochester, N.Y. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1978 with a degree in chemical engineering, and completed the Sloan Fellowship at the Sloan Management School, receiving a master's degree in 1993. |
