Richard H. Bowler is PBTK's practice leader in governmental and not-for-profit organization services and is extensively involved in all areas of accounting and auditing services for clients in varied industries, including real estate development and construction, income tax research and preparation, business consultation, including valuations, and litigation support and insurance claims services. Mr. Bowler has taught governmental accounting courses at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association, the Association of Government Accountants, the Nevada Society (of which he is a past president) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also served as a member of the Local Government Advisory Committee to the Nevada State Department of Taxation. Highly active in our community, Mr. Bowler was one of the founding members of the board of directors of the Las Vegas chapter of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Southern Nevada. His extensive volunteer service over many years has included membership on the board of directors and the executive board of Citizens for Responsible Government. He served on the board of directors and as treasurer of the Nevada Opera Theatre and was one of the original performing members and past president of the Bluthe Choral. Mr. Bowler also was one of the founding members of the board of directors of Southern Nevada Coalition 2000, and serves on its executive board as Treasurer. He is on the Executive Board of the Boulder Dam Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, also serving as the Board's Treasurer. He is also a member of the Founders Club of the Las Vegas� Invitational golf tournament, the Las Vegas Southwest Rotary Club and the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, where he is a member of the Goal Political Action Committee |
