Richard J. Olson came to Atlas in 1984 as Director of Internal Audit and Taxation, and within three years was promoted to Treasurer. In 1997, Olson was named Vice President, Finance and Treasurer. He assumed his current role as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 2002.
As Chief Financial Officer, Olsen directs the financial functions for all of the Atlas World Group companies with responsibility for risk management, corporate accounting, financial services, internal audit and financial reporting. He has been involved in numerous debt refinancings throughout his career at Atlas, along with participating in the acquisitions of several Atlas World Group subsidiaries, including Cornerstone Relocation Group and Titan Global Distribution.
A native of Louisville, Ky., Olson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Kentucky. Before joining Atlas, Olson held various positions with Potter & Co., George S. Olive & Co. and served as a controller at Ball Communications.
Olsen is a Certified Public Accountant and is actively involved in the community, building several homes for Habitat for Humanity in the Evansville, Ind. area. |
