Mr. Johnson graduated with a bachelor degree in accounting in 1984 from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. Upon his graduation, he started work with a Big 6 accounting firm and received his CPA certification while working as a Audit Senior for Kenneth Leventhal and Co.
From January 1987 to February 1988, Mr. Johnson was Vice President of Finance for Merrill Lynch Huntoon Paige, Inc., a mortgage-banking subsidiary of Merrill Lynch Capital Markets. When Merrill Lynch decided to close its mortgage banking operations, From February 1988 to October 1989, Mr. Johnson became Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Bayhill Service Corporation, a mortgage banking company, and Vice President of Capital Savings and Loan, the parent of Bayhill Service Corporation.
From November 1989 to May of 1992, Mr. Johnson was Vice President, Controller of Imperial Bank Mortgage, a Division of Imperial Bank (NSYE-IMP). In May 1992, Imperial Bank spun off the mortgage banking division and its thrift and loan, Southern Pacific Bank, to form Imperial Credit Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ-ICII). From May 1992 to September 1992, Mr. Johnson was Vice President and Controller of Imperial Credit Industries, Inc. While working full time as the Vice President and Controller of Imperial Bank Mortgage, Mr. Johnson obtained his masters degree from the University of Southern California.
From September 1992 to March 1995, Mr. Johnson was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Imperial Credit Industries, Inc. While employed at Imperial Credit Industries, Inc., Mr. Johnson was responsible for the financial management of Imperial Credit Industries, Inc. and management of Imperial Credit Industries, Inc.'s mortgage servicing portfolio. |
