Over the past 30 years Richard L. ("Rick") Jackson has been instrumental in conceptualizing and developing more than 25 healthcare-related companies. Beginning in 1978 with the founding of Jackson & Coker (J&C), he has demonstrated a unique ability to predict health care industry trends, identify under-served niches and create leading companies that improve the accessibility and quality of healthcare.
Because he has owned hospitals, surgery centers, physician practice management companies and clinics, Jackson has a hands-on understanding of what it takes to run a successful health care business. Over the years at least 10 of his companies have ranked number-one in market share in their industries. For example, within its first decade in business, Jackson & Coker became the nation's largest physician search firm and its seventh-largest executive search company.
Currently Jackson is chief executive officer of Jackson Healthcare, which ranked ninth on Staffing Industry Analysts' list of "Top U.S. Healthcare Staffing Providers," May 31, 2007. JH was included in Entrepreneur magazine's 2007 list of the "Hot 500" U.S. entrepreneurial companies. The company also was named to the Inc. 500 list of the fastest-growing private U.S. companies in 2004 and to the Inc. 5000 in 2007 as one of the top 100 healthcare companies. |
