Dr. Wishner has been associated both directly and as a consultant with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) for a number of years, serving there as director of the Information Exploitation Office from December 2001 through November 2002, and as assistant director of the Information Systems Office between 1994 and 1997. Between May 1997 and August 2001, he served as a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Technical Advisory Group, as a consultant to the Defense Science Board, and as a consultant to the director of DARPA. Prior to joining DARPA in 1994, Dr. Wishner served briefly in the Office of the Secretary of Defense where he was assistant deputy undersecretary of defense (Advanced Technology) for special projects. He also served as chief executive officer of Advanced Decision Systems, a privately owned artificial intelligence company. |
