Dr. Abello received his medical degree from the University of Barcelona Medical School in Barcelona, Spain. He completed a residency and research fellowship in nuclear medicine at the Clinic Hospital of the University of Barcelona, a residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and a fellowship in nuclear medicine and magnetic resonance imaging at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Certified by the American Board of Radiology in nuclear radiology and diagnostic radiology, Dr. Abello has received numerous honors and awards including the Physician's Recognition Award from the American Medical Association. He is a member of several professional organizations including the Radiological Society of North America, the Society of Nuclear Medicine, and the Academy of Molecular Medicine. Throughout his career, Dr. Abello has authored many articles and abstracts and has lectured on various topics related to radiology. |
