As a co-founder of Regeneration Technologies, Inc. in 1998 with Jamie Grooms, Mr. Allen developed the company's initial strategic business plans and helped to negotiate the successful spin-off of the underlying RTIX technology from the University of Florida. As CFO of RTIX he negotiated the initial venture capital investments for the company and coordinated the company's IPO in August 2000. Mr. Allen has 28 years of experience in business and finance, including 16 years in executive leadership positions with technology-based businesses, in areas as diverse as mechanical engineering, electronics, biomedical technology, photovoltaics and medical device manufacturing. Mr. Allen has two degrees from the University of Florida, including a BS in Accounting with honors in 1980, and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Florida. He is co-author of Vital Business Secrets for Young & Growing Companies (1989-Dow Jones-Irwin). |
