Rick Galli concentrates his practice in the areas of professional liability, medical malpractice, general civil litigation and corporate law. For over 25 years, he has represented the interests of health care institutions, including academic medical centers, in major medical malpractice cases as well as in other health care issues. In the multi-district Orthopedic Bone Screw Litigation, he was appointed liaison counsel for healthcare providers. Mr. Galli formerly served as an Assistant United States Attorney and First Assistant in the United States Attorney's Office in Philadelphia and a Deputy District Attorney and Special Prosecutor in the Office of the District Attorney of Delaware County. He is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations; the American College of Radiology Institutional Review Board; Pennsylvania Defense Institute; and the Defense Research Institute. In recognition of his professional excellence, the publishers of Law & Politics named him to the list of "Pennsylvania Super Lawyers," 2005, 2006 and 2007, as featured in Philadelphia magazine, a distinction reserved for only 5% of Pennsylvania's attorneys, based upon a peer selection process. Mr. Galli earned his law and undergraduate degrees from Villanova University where he received numerous academic awards. In undergraduate school, he was a cum laude graduate and member of the National Honor Society. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania. |
