Richard R. Riegler was named Senior Vice President Engineering and Environmental Affairs for Aqua America in January 1999. Riegler is responsible for the management and oversight of the engineering water quality laboratory and environmental affairs functions water and wastewater operations as well as purchasing and fleet operations. He also manages the Corporation's capital budget.
Riegler joined WTR's largest subsidiary Aqua Pennsylvania in 1970 and held various positions of graduated responsibility prior to being appointed Senior Vice President Operations in 1989 responsible for engineering and distribution system maintenance and construction at PSW.
Riegler currently serves on the Board of Directors of Water for People and is a former chairman of both the Pennsylvania Section and the Resources Division of the American Water Works Association (AWWA). He has served on the Advisory Committees of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources (DER) the Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) and the Water Resources Association of the Delaware River Basin. Currently he serves on the Boards of the Philadelphia Opera Guild the Settlement Music School and Big Brothers/Big Sisters Association of Philadelphia.
A graduate of Drexel University's Civil Engineering Program Riegler is a licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. |
