Richard W. Gilbert co-founded CompuCredit in 1996 with David Hanna and is the company�s Chief Operating Officer. He was named the new post of Vice Chairman in October 2000. He also serves on CompuCredit�s Board of Directors. As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Gilbert is responsible for supervising financial operations, preparing projections and developing business strategies. Mr. Gilbert brings more than 25 years of consumer credit experience to CompuCredit. Prior to joining CompuCredit, he was employed by Equifax from 1990 until 1995, first as Chief Operating Officer of its Collection Division and then as General Manager of Strategic Client Services. From 1995 until 1997, Mr. Gilbert was Chief Operating Officer of The American Education Fund, L.P. for HBR Capital, an investment management company. From 1979 until Nationwide Credit was sold in 1990, Mr. Gilbert served in various positions, including Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Development, Vice President of Marketing and as President of Financial Health Services, a division of Nationwide Credit. |
