Mr. Thatcher is a founding partner of Fairmount Partners. Mr. Thatcher specializes in mergers and acquisitions, strategic/financial advisory services, and private financings, for emerging growth companies. His clients include entrepreneur-led companies in the technology and business services sectors with a particular focus on information technology services and application software. Prior to Fairmount Partners, Dick led Investec Inc.�s corporate finance practice serving those same sectors. Dick joined PMG Capital, Investec�s predecessor firm, in 1992 following an extensive career as head of Mergers and Acquisitions for AGS Computers Inc., a major information technology software and consulting services company, with special concentration in the financial services, telecommunications, computer manufacturing and distribution industries. Dick joined AGS when they purchased his firm, Atlantic Management Systems, of which he was founder and CEO. Atlantic specialized in project management and systems development software and consulting services. Prior to founding Atlantic, Dick served in various marketing positions with IBM. Dick has served on the boards of a variety of technology companies, private and public. He has also served as an arbitrator for the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD). Dick holds a Bachelors of Engineering and an MBA from Cornell University and attended the Entrepreneurial Management Program at Harvard University. |
