Richard Bridgforth provides mergers & acquisitions services in the Southeast. He joined Daniels in 1986 after a career in finance, acquisitions and management. Mr. Bridgforth has completed more than 70 transactions involving more than 3.1 million subscribers including some of Daniels most significant transactions for Centel, NCOM, Triax, Bresnan, Integrated Resources, UnitedGlobalComm, C4 Media, FrontierVision, Rifkin, Telemedia, Summit, Gaylord and other cable operating companies. During his tenure, he has negotiated transactions involving minority tax certificates, media joint ventures, system trades and stock mergers. In addition, he has advised cable operating and programming clients on strategic direction and options including advisory engagements for operators in New Zealand, Australia and the Caribbean. More recently, he brokered the sale of Worldbridge, a broadband systems network integration firm specializing in cable as well as CLEC networks. Prior to joining Daniels, his business career began with Ernst & Young specializing in management consulting. Then, he moved on to managing the mergers and acquisitions and tax departments for United Energy Resources Inc., formerly a Fortune 100 Houston-based company. At UER, he also served as vice president of finance for its drilling subsidiary in Denver. Mr. Bridgforth, a CPA, earned an MBA from the College of William and Mary. In 1978, he completed the examination for Certified Financial Analysts. |
