Richard Davis, M.D. joined the CHRISTUS Spohn Health System in 2000. Dr. Davis is responsible for overseeing medical staff affairs, bylaws, credentialing, discipline, recruitment and communication, supervises over Risk Management, Quality Case Management, Patient Safety activities and directs JCAHO preparation. Prior to joining CHRISTUS Spohn, Dr. Davis practiced family medicine for over 20 years in Corpus Christi and also served as Medical Director of the Corpus Christi Fire Department EMS for 21 years. He received a Bachelor of Science from Baylor University and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston where he was recognized as a Distinguished Student in Family Medicine. He served his residency at Memorial Medical Center in Corpus Christi and also received a Bachelor of Science at the University of Texas at Dallas School of Management. Dr. Davis is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice, a member of the National Board of Medical Examiners, a Fellow in the American Academy of Family Practice and licensed to practice medicine and surgery.
