Rick Kearney, CPA, is an experienced, proven financial professional who provides financial services to companies that need a part-time CFO. He has worked in association with Carter Morse since 1993, specializing in valuations of privately held companies and support on M&A projects. Rick began his career at the CPA firm, Peat Marwick, Mitchell & Co. After seven years in the Audit department, he joined Private Business Advisory Services, a department dedicated to small, growth-oriented, owner-managed companies that needed, but could not afford, full-time, high-caliber financial talent. In 1981 he formed his own CPA firm, providing accounting, tax and auditing services to entrepreneurs. In 1988 he sold his accounting practice and joined Cannondale Corporation -- a rapidly growing bicycle company -- as chief financial officer, where he had been a Director since 1982. During his tenure as CFO, Cannondale grew from $7 million in sales in 1982 to $100 million in 1994. His affiliations include the American Society of Certified Public Accountants and Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Kearney is a candidate member of the American Society of Appraisers, a professional organization for appraisers. Rick earned a BSBA from Georgetown University in Accounting. |
