Richard joined GemStone in 1996 as Vice President of the Professional Services organization. He has served in a leadership role overseeing several departments, including the technical solutions group, operations, and professional services organization. He has managed nearly every aspect of GemStone's business before becoming President. Richard has more than 20 years of experience in the computer and electronic design automation industries working in hardware and software sales, marketing and consulting services. He came to GemStone from Mentor Graphics Corporation. While serving as the Director of Marketing for the Mentor Graphics Services Division, he managed consecutive years of more than 30 percent growth, which represented over $40 million in revenue. Mr. Lamb began his career at IBM in 1978 where he held various positions in sales and sales management, including Regional Manager for IBM 's Area 11 Executive Consulting Services' business unit. Richard has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Philosophy from Cornell University. |
