Richard Laxer is president and CEO of GE Capital Solutions, one of the company's largest financial services businesses, with leasing, financing and asset management operations in 30 countries and assets of more than $92 billion.
Prior to his current role in Danbury, Connecticut, Mr. Laxer led GE Corporate Financial Services' London-based European businesses, responsible for factoring and transaction activities, including leveraged finance, corporate restructurings and distressed/secondary debt investments.
Mr. Laxer was based in Tokyo from 2001 to 2003, running GE's Asia Pacific Real Estate activities. Before that he established and led GE Real Estate's Fund Capital Group in New York.
Mr. Laxer began his GE career with the company's Financial Management Program and holds a bachelor's in business from Skidmore College.
