Mr. Wyand joined the company in 1999 when Smith Micro acquired STF Technologies. Mr. Wyand was President and CEO at which point he facilitated the transition of STF Technologies into the Mac division of Smith Micro. As General Manager he ran the division sales, marketing, engineering and customer support efforts. Later that year, Mr. Wyand moved into the newly created Wireless and Broadband division as General Manager and later as Vice President of Wireless and OEM Sales, which he has held to date. Mr. Wyand has over 20 years of experience in the high-tech industry. He started with United Telecom Computer Group, a $160 million subsidiary of United Telecom (now Sprint) in 1977 and held various positions including Director of Planning. In 1984 Mr. Wyand founded Transition Management Associates, a consulting firm providing interim management and operational consulting services. Before entering into the high-tech industry, Mr. Wyand was a Senior Management Consultant with Arthur Young & Co. (now Ernst & Young) from 1973 to 1977. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University and with a Masters of Business Administration from Rockhurst College. |
